Beat Information Overload: Filter Noise Without Missing Out
The real risk of modern monitoring is not missing a piece of information, it is receiving all of them. When everything arrives, nothing stands out.
Filter at the source
Every added source must earn its place. A source publishing 50 articles a day, 2 of which matter to you, needs a filter, not a raw subscription.
Think in exclusions
Exclusions are often forgotten. Removing recurring topics you don't care about (a product, a market) cleans a feed faster than adding keywords.
Prioritize instead of reading everything
A good system surfaces what matters instead of showing everything flat. Sorting by relevance beats a purely chronological order.
Set appointments
Checking your monitoring continuously fragments attention. Two or three fixed slots a day are enough and protect your focus.
Filtering is not risking to miss something: it is giving yourself a chance to see what truly matters.
